Where Riu Ocho Rios is

Mammee Bay, Saint Ann, on the coast just west of Ocho Rios town and close to the Dunn's River Falls entrance.

The route from Sangster International Airport (MBJ)

• East from MBJ past Rose Hall and Greenwood, joining the north coast highway at Falmouth.
• Through Duncans and Rio Bueno, then along the flat coastal stretch through Discovery Bay and Runaway Bay.
• Past Saint Ann's Bay and Priory, where the road turns towards Ocho Rios.
• The Mammee Bay turn-off comes up shortly after the Dunn's River Falls entrance; the resort gate is a short way down.

Arrival procedure at Riu Ocho Rios

1. 1Meet and greet inside MBJ arrivals; your flight is tracked, so delays do not lose you the driver.
2. 2One comfort stop is standard, usually around Falmouth or Runaway Bay.
3. 3If you have added a Dunn's River stop, it comes just before the resort — pack swimwear in your carry-on rather than the hold bag.
4. 4Drop-off at the Riu Ocho Rios lobby; wristbands are issued at the desk and check-in is 3pm.

Which vehicle suits this transfer

Riu Ocho Rios draws a mixed family and group crowd, and this is a 1 hour 40 minute drive — the longest of our common routes. The Toyota Noah van suits families of four to six; larger groups should book the 12-seat Hiace so nobody is wedged between suitcases for the full run. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are standard.

One suitcase and one carry-on per traveler included. On this long a drive we would rather send a bigger vehicle than stack bags around passengers, so give us the real luggage count at booking.

Your return transfer

Pickup for the return is 4 hours 30 minutes before departure: the drive alone is 1 hour 40 minutes, and MBJ's check-in and security queues do the rest. Guests flying out of Ian Fleming (OCJ) instead only need about 90 minutes.
